Single Hand WelderLocation: Odessa, TXPosition Type: Full-timePay Rate: 0.00Description: The Single Hand Welder performs welding, fabrication, fitting, repair, and related construction work independently without the regular assistance of a dedicated Welder Helper. This position requires an experienced welder who can safely complete assigned work with limited supervision while maintaining Blakely Construction's quality and safety standards.Requirements:Previous industrial, oilfield, construction, pipeline, or fabrication welding experience.Ability to perform assigned welding processes and techniques required for the project.Ability to successfully complete required weld tests when applicable.Ability to read measurements, drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication details.Knowledge of welding equipment, cutting equipment, grinders, and related tools.Ability to fit, measure, cut, prepare, and weld materials independently.Ability to identify basic welding defects and maintain acceptable weld quality.Ability to work safely around welding, cutting, rigging, and construction operations.Must meet Blakely Construction and customer requirements for assigned work locations.Welding certifications may be required depending on customer or project requirements.Responsibilities:Perform welding and fabrication according to drawings, specifications, and project requirements.Fit, measure, cut, prepare, and assemble materials for welding.Set up and operate welding and cutting equipment safely.Perform assigned work independently without a dedicated helper.Inspect completed work for quality and proper fit.Make repairs or corrections when required.Maintain welding equipment, leads, tools, and work areas.Follow welding procedures and customer specifications when applicable.Follow all company and customer safety policies and procedures.Properly use required PPE.Coordinate with supervisors and other employees to complete assigned projects safely and efficiently.
