Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System.

Additional Details:

You must be willing to float, work weekends, and generally just be very flexible.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Impella and CRRT/NXStage skills required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical ICU patient population. 1:2 ratio but sometimes flexes to 1:3. Nurses do all lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts. Uses Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis machines, Edwards Lifesciences cardiac monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems, Arctic Sun TMS, GE monitors, Hill Rom beds, Pyxis Medication Station, and Verathon Bladder Scanner. May still care for Covid-19 and other isolation patients.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Call required: No. RTO: Limited to 5 Days Total.

Floating Requirements: Will float to all ICUs and may float to the ED or PACU to care for ICU patients in those areas. May occasionally float to MS/PCU units with 1:4 patient ratios. May also float to other critical care and stepdown with reduced ratio of 1:3.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
