Architectural Designer II

GTM Architects is seeking an enthusiastic, driven professional to join our Commercial Studio as an Architectural Designer II (1–3 years of post-education experience). As part of our collaborative team, you’ll play an integral role in a range of projects from schematic design through construction phase services. Architectural Designer II team members at GTM work closely with Project Managers, directly impacting our design process and client deliverables. What You’ll Do: Your role will expose you to every project phase, with opportunities to contribute to: Schematic & Conceptual Design: Brainstorm ideas and assist in the development of innovative design concepts Surveying & Documentation: Execute site surveys and prepare detailed existing conditions reports Client Programming & Needs Analysis: Collaborate with project teams to understand, interpret, and implement client requirements Space Planning & Design Development: Help develop space planning solutions and refine architectural layouts Material Selection & Construction Documentation: Select appropriate materials and generate accurate construction drawings Client Presentations & Presenting Ideas: Prepare and deliver polished presentation materials to effectively communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders This is a hands‑on opportunity to advance your professional career, earn and log AXP or NCIDQ-related hours, and contribute directly to the creation of meaningful, innovative designs. What We’re Looking For: Education: Professional degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Architecture Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD (experience with SketchUp, Photoshop, or Enscape is a major plus) Creative Talent: Strong conceptual design skills, a genuine passion for commercial architecture & interiors, and a flair for presenting ideas visually Professionalism & Adaptability: A proactive professional who can efficiently manage tasks across multiple projects, adapt to changing design priorities, and collaborate seamlessly across teams within the Studio Competitive Compensation: Commensurate with experience Paid Overtime: Calculated at time and a half Professional Development: Dedicated mentorship and a focus on internal career growth Licensure & Exam Support: Reimbursement for passed exam fees, up to $1,200 for study tools/materials, additional in-house study resources, and financial bonuses upon passing Continuing Education: Weekly AIA / NCIDQ / USGBC Lunch & Learn sessions Fueling Creativity: Fully stocked kitchen with healthy snacks, coffee, and refreshments Work Environment: Business casual attire within a highly collaborative studio culture GTM Architects is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
