Americas Tax Technology Group - Business Analyst - Manager

Location: Dallas, Nashville, Chicago, Atlanta. Tax – Americas Tax Technology Group – Business Analyst - Manager As part of our Americas Tax Technology Group (ATTG) you will be part of a technology organization that develops and maintains innovative solutions for our client‑serving Tax professionals. ATTG professionals partner with our Tax professionals to develop supporting technology such as digital/mobile tools to improve internal operations, application of Robotics Process Automation (RPA) to collect financial data, development of advanced financial dashboards, visualization, analytics, and reports. The Business Analyst role sits in the Solutions Delivery Pillar. Your Key Responsibilities Plan and manage the BA approach, communicating, driving and managing the business analysis effort for the Portfolio throughout all phases of the ATTG project life cycle. Lead a team of BAs assigned to program/portfolio project(s), ensuring comprehensive business analysis is performed on all projects across the assigned Portfolio/Programs. Also, you’ll perform hands‑on BA work directly as needed, and owning and governing core BA artifacts. Actively review requirements traceability for impact and coverage analysis throughout the Portfolio. Work with the Business Analysis Community of Practice to ensure consistent application of the Solutions Delivery and ATTG standards and methodologies and advise on exceptions. Lead the QA Engineers and review their test plans and drive the quality of the solutions. Partner closely with Product Team to shape product roadmaps, epics, and features, ensuring alignment between business outcomes and technical delivery. Serve as a trusted advisor to Tax stakeholders, product team, and technology leadership, translating complex business needs into scalable, high‑quality solutions. Skills And Attributes For Success Experience leading other BAs to provide analysis and requirements, ensure consistency, accuracy and quality of BA deliverables on larger initiatives. Experience with Enterprise Analysis. Expert on industry‑standard, structured business analysis techniques (i.e., user stories, use cases, UML/logical modeling, BABOK, etc.) appropriately modifying according to the decided software development methodology (i.e., Agile, Iterative, SCRUM, RUP, Waterfall, etc.) in use. Experience with Agile desired. Experience using, training and driving others to use requirements management, modeling and change control software(s). Provide supervision and direction to team members and staff. Delegate, coach, coordinate and lead co‑workers and project team members. Responsible for assigning work and reviewing performance, requiring leadership of virtual teams. To qualify for the role, you must have A bachelor's degree (computer science, engineering, accounting, finance preferred) or equivalent work experience. Master's degree preferred. 8‑12 years of relevant experience. Management experience a plus. CBAP or CBATL certification preferred. 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and overseeing data ingestion, data processing, and analytical pipelines across big data platforms, relational databases, NoSQL stores, and modern cloud data platforms, including Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory. Experience with data governance practices and tooling, including data cataloging, lineage, access controls, and data quality management, using tools such as Collibra, Informatica, and native governance capabilities within Snowflake. Demonstrated ability to operate in a client‑serving role, delivering high‑quality work while managing expectations and building strong relationships. Ability to clearly articulate both problems and proposed solutions. Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options, and where appropriate, leading to resolution. Ability to prioritize personal and team workloads to best meet organizational objectives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working effectively and building relationships with and between teams, external vendors and internal clients at varying executive levels. Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change based on client needs. TAX or Finance domain knowledge. Ideally, you’ll have Ability to understand and learn tax law and technology implications at a high level. Excellent organizational and project management skills as well as the ability to multitask on various projects in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work and team effectively with clients and high‑level leadership personnel as well as influence all team members. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $86,600 to $197,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $103,900 to $224,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
