At MGM Resorts, we seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping experiences for our guests.**THE JOB:**As a Beverage Server, you will be an ambassador of hospitality by delivering exceptional service with warmth and precision. In this fast-paced casino environment, you’ll provide beverage service to guests actively engaged in gaming, ensuring their experience is seamless, elevated, and memorable. By anticipating needs, creating genuine connections, and bringing energy to every interaction, you help transform moments into unforgettable experiences that keep our guests coming back.**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Take order and serve drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable* Place order, and garnish and serve cocktails to guests* Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available* Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately* Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment to include fold/stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies* Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:*** Must be 18 years or older and able to obtain proper licensure as required by the New York State Gaming Commission* Must be available to work varied shifts including day shift (10am-6pm), swing shift (5:45pm-1:45am), and graveyard shift (7:15pm-3:15am), as well as weekends and holidays* Has a high school diploma or GED* Has prior relevant experience as a cocktail and/or food server working in a similar environment such as a casino, resort, or lounge* Has knowledge of beverages including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes**THE PERKS & BENEFITS:*** Opportunities for professional development and career advancement including networking opportunities, and community volunteer programs* A supportive and collaborative work environment* Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally* Companywide discounts on hotel, entertainment, shopping, and food & beverage* Exclusive discounts with our corporate partners on travel, electronics, online shopping, and beyond* Complimentary meal in our employee dining room, where you can savor a variety of delicious and healthy options throughout the day* Free on-site parking, making your commute hassle-free and convenient**VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION:** Rate**The rate for this role is:$17.02Pay is subject to review following 90 days of employment.This is a tip eligible position.Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.Eligible employees have the opportunity to participate in medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans as well as 401(k) and time off plans.
