Description:
This position involves providing medical direction from an anesthesiologist.
Weekend operating room coverage will expand to include multiple operating rooms on Saturday and Sunday.
This expansion will require additional advanced practice providers on those weekends.
Locum coverage will be sought for Friday through Monday to minimize incentive shifts and cover planned operating room expansion for weekends.
Shifts of 10 hours will include both evening and day options.
No daily guarantee of hours is provided.
Patient encounters per shift will depend on the specific assignments.
The facility's trauma level is 0.
The expected surgery types include cardiac, complex vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgical, obstetrical, and pediatric cases.
Preferred skills and techniques include general anesthesia, spinal and epidural anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and management of pain techniques.
Evaluation and management of acute volume or blood pressure issues are necessary.
Central line, arterial line, and pulmonary artery catheter placement are preferred skills.
CRNA supervision will be required for this role.
