Job Description

The Forklift Operator safely operates a sit-down forklift in a climate-controlled warehouse to move, load, unload, and organize product. This role handles inbound receiving, uses RF scanners for inventory management, and supports daily warehouse operations while maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
• Push, pull, lift, stack, and move product within the warehouse as directed.
• Load and unload trailers with boxed seed and liquid products.
• Perform inbound receiving activities, including verifying and recording incoming shipments.
• Utilize RF scanners to track, scan, and manage inventory accurately.
• Support packing and distribution center activities as needed.
• Lift seed bags weighing up to 75 lbs on a daily basis, sometimes handling as few as 10 bags and on other days up to 200 bags.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse space in accordance with company standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse operating guidelines during every task.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support smooth warehouse operations.

• Proven ability to operate a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking and warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of basic inventory management practices within a distribution center.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs repeatedly during the workday.
• Capability to load, unload, stack, and move product safely and efficiently.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
• Reliability to work Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Previous experience working in a climate-controlled warehouse or distribution center.
• Familiarity with packing, shipping, and receiving processes.
• Attention to detail when scanning and recording inventory.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as with a team.

You will work in a comfortable, climate-controlled warehouse with a supportive team environment. Leadership shows appreciation for the crew by providing lunches 1–2 times per week, helping foster a positive and collaborative workplace. The consistent weekday schedule supports work-life balance and provides predictable hours.

Work Environment

This role is based in a heated, climate-controlled warehouse where boxed seed and liquid products are stored and shipped. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will regularly operate a sit-down forklift and use RF scanners and other standard warehouse equipment. The work involves frequent lifting of bags up to 75 lbs and moving product throughout the facility while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of West Fargo, ND.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in West Fargo,ND.
