Our veterinary team cares for small animals and pocket pets and offers a wide range of services, including in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, Companion Laser, ultrasound, and endoscopy. Our hospital is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and closed on weekends, giving you a consistent schedule and your weekends back.

Job Description

As a veterinary technician, you'll play an important role in supporting our doctors and providing hands-on patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Triaging incoming patients and obtaining accurate patient histories
• Safely restraining pets using low-stress handling techniques
• Collecting, processing, and analyzing blood, urine, fecal, and skin samples
• Performing diagnostic imaging, including positioning and capturing radiographs
• Assisting with dental radiographs when needed
• Providing nursing care for hospitalized patients with varying levels of stability
• Administering medications and treatments as directed
• Preparing patients for surgery and assisting during procedures
• Monitoring anesthesia and surgical patients
• Communicating treatment plans and veterinary recommendations clearly with clients
• Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting efficient hospital flow

Qualifications

We're looking for a veterinary technician who brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for veterinary medicine. The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 1 year of veterinary technician experience
• CVT, RVT, or LVT credentials are a plus
• Strong communication and exceptional client service skills
• Experience with laboratory sample collection and processing
• Confidence with radiology and anesthesia monitoring
• Knowledge of preventative care, surgical procedures, and day-to-day veterinary hospital operations
• A dependable, self-motivated approach and commitment to arriving prepared and on time
• Openness to constructive feedback and a desire to continuously improve your veterinary skills
