We’re seeking an Associate Engineer to join our Buffalo-based engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career civil/structural engineer who is ready to apply their technical foundation to complex, creative, and highly visible projects. Overview Enclos Tensile Structures is an award-winning design-build contractor specializing in the engineering and construction of custom lightweight structures. Our team has collaborated with many of the world’s leading architects, designers, and developers to deliver projects that combine architectural expression with structural performance. Our portfolio spans everything from elegant, functional canopies to some of the most iconic tensile structures in the built environment. Notable Projects Allianz Field SoFi Stadium Intuit Dome ATLNext Central Passenger Terminal Complex Santa Fe Opera House and Cantina Responsibilities Modeling and analysis of tensioned membrane structures using finite element large deflection software. Summarize and present engineering results in report format for client review and approval. Work with a project designer to develop general arrangement drawings for client review and approval. Create fabric cutting patterns meeting the geometry requirements of the project. Coordinate project work with the Project Manager, Supervising Engineer, and Project Designer to ensure timely and accurate completion of the assigned project. Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope. Strong demonstrated ability to analyze and design steel fabricated structures. Demonstrate the ability to learn and grow under the supervision of a senior level Engineer. Qualifications 0-3 years of relevant engineering experience. Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) Certificate Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong theoretical background with specific knowledge relating to designing steel structures. Proficiency in standard office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam. Compensation and Benefits The Enclos family of companies determines compensation based on factors including experience, education, geographic location, and certifications. The successful candidate for the Associate Engineer position in Buffalo, New York can expect to earn $65,000 to $75,000 annually.
