Art Director

Taylor Studios, Inc is seeking an Art Director to lead the creative direction of exhibit design projects from concept through completion. Responsibilities Planning design workshop presentations with clients Internal concept brainstorming Contributing to design processes, standards, and templates Assisting design teams in the creation and maintenance of work plans for individual project phases Running weekly project check in meetings Planning deliverable content and reviewing deliverables to ensure client needs and Taylor standards are met Collaboration with the Director of Design and other Art Directors in general creative direction and creative guidance to designers Maintaining the project budget with Project Managers, and working with Estimating to ensure exhibits can be completed within budget and on time Most Taylor Studios projects begin with an onsite meeting with clients and so travel is required 2-5 weeks each year Requirements Advanced skill in exhibit design, graphic design, or interpretation Proficiency in Vectorworks, knowledge of comparable programs such as SketchUp, AutoCAD etc Ability to read construction documents Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop Comfort with Microsoft Excel Basic understanding of standard construction materials and methods Traditional drawing skills, proficiency in digital drawing with programs such as Procreate Comfort with public speaking, leading, and working collaboratively Excellent management, communication, and leadership skills General curiosity about varied topics and love of learning Minimum 5 years of professional experience in art direction, exhibit design, or related field Technologies Vectorworks SketchUp AutoCAD Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator InDesign Photoshop Microsoft Excel Procreate Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Pay Salary: USD 70,000 - 80,000 per year Work location Hybrid remote in Rantoul, IL 61866 #J-18808-Ljbffr
