Medical Services Coordinator

Job Summary The Medical Services Coordinator serves as a point of contact to coordinate medical care and support patients and psychiatric clinicians, ensuring quality customer service for both in‑person and remote patients and clinicians. Compensation and Location Hourly rate: $17.75 – $18.75 Location: 10142 Parkside Drive Suite 114, Knoxville, TN 37922 Benefits Medical, dental, vision, AD&D, short‑ and long‑term disability, life insurance; 401(k) with employer match; paid parental leave, paid time off, holiday pay; Employee Assistance Program. Duties / Responsibilities Operational Excellence – create a positive work environment; deliver strong customer service; respond promptly to patient needs; communicate with peers, clinicians, and patients to support care and satisfaction. Patient Support – assist clinicians with prior authorizations, lab orders, patient letters, record requests, coordination of necessary paperwork; manage phone systems and patient inquiries; ensure accurate pharmacy information in the medical record; scan hard‑copy correspondence into the EHR; troubleshoot telehealth access and patient portal issues; triage urgent requests and direct to appropriate departments. Clinician Support – provide general clinician support, including administrative questions, letter and fax handling; coordinate additional patient questions; aid in termination processes for patients. Required Skills & Abilities Ability to multitask and prioritize to deliver a high‑quality patient experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with computer software (Microsoft Office, EMRs). Comfort handling sensitive and confidential information under HIPAA. Capability to work independently and as part of a team. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 1 year in healthcare operations, customer service, or a similar role.
