Elementary Middle School School Speech Pathology | Newhall, California

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary and early middle school students through comprehensive speech-language services. This dynamic position is ideal for a certified SLP interested in making a meaningful impact across two friendly school sites, working with students from Transitional Kindergarten to 6th grade.


Enjoy a varied caseload where you'll address mild articulation needs, provide interventions for students with mild to moderate disabilities and language deficits, and support select students requiring AAC. The assignment offers full-time hours during the core school year, with options to extend into summer ESY programs and the following academic year for ongoing continuity and professional development.


Key Qualifications:

• Active SLP licensure and certification for schools
• Experience working with Pre K through 6th grade populations
• Familiarity with a spectrum of speech and language deficits, including articulation, language disorders, and AAC implementation
• Ability to thrive in a multi-site role, collaborating with diverse teams and adapting to each school's culture
• Commitment to supporting IEP goals, engaging families, and documenting progress

Role Highlights:

• Serve two sites weekly (2 days at one, 3 days at the other)
• Provide direct and consultative services in individual and group settings
• Develop and implement tailored intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and support staff
• Maintain up-to-date records and support comprehensive IEP documentation
• Contribute to a positive environment for students at various developmental stages

The staff workday ranges from 7:45am-3:15pm at one school and 8:15am-3:45pm at the other, providing predictability while allowing you to foster strong, consistent relationships with students and colleagues. Start as soon as possible, with the flexibility to conclude at the end of the 25/26 school year or continue through the summer and into the next academic year.
