Job Description

St. Joseph Healthcare, a proud member of Covenant Health , is seeking a Board-Certified Wound Management / Hyperbaric Medicine Physician to join our team in Bangor, Maine. This is a unique, consultative specialty practice that combines medical and surgical expertise to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex wounds.

The position includes a Medical Director component , making a minimum of two to three years of experience preferred.

Position Highlights

• Monday-Friday schedule with no call or overnight requirements
\n

• Approximately 35-40 combined patients per day , including 0-6 hyperbaric patients

• Typical hours of 8:00 AM-3:00 PM and/or 10:00 AM-4:30 PM

• Hospital-based practice with immediate access to ED, laboratory, imaging, and surgical services
\n
• Experienced and collaborative nursing team with 245 years of combined experience
\n
• Dedicated Clinical Nurse Manager, Operations Manager, and Patient Service Representatives
\n

  Qualifications

\n

\n
• Board certification in an appropriate specialty
\n
• Wound care and debridement experience
\n
• Strong procedural/surgical skills
\n
• Dermatologic knowledge helpful
\n
• Hyperbaric medicine experience preferred, or willingness to obtain training
\n
• 40-hour Hyperbaric Medicine training program preferred upon hire \n

  • Required within 30 days of hire.
