Central Distribution Center (CDC) General Manager

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job type: Full time

Schedule: Monday-Friday daytime hours (may require evening/weekend hours on occasion)

Annualized Base Salary: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00

*Compensation for this position includes annual salary, 20% short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role as well as the geographic location of the role.

Viking Electric is seeking a strategic and results-driven Central Distribution Center (CDC) General Manager to lead our Minneapolis distribution operation through a team of high-performing leaders.

In this role, you will drive safety, service, productivity, inventory performance, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives that support customer commitments and business growth. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of our supply chain operations while developing the next generation of operational leaders.

What You'll Do

• Lead all distribution center operations through a team of managers and operational leaders.
• Drive performance across safety, service, quality, productivity, and inventory accuracy.
• Develop leaders through coaching, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Optimize labor, inventory, and capacity to support business objectives and customer expectations.
• Champion continuous improvement, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Manage operating expenses, assets, and performance metrics to deliver efficient and profitable operations.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and results.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in operations, logistics, distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, supply chain, transportation, fulfillment, or related operational environments.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• Experience leading managers, supervisors, or multi-functional operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse, inventory, transportation, and distribution operations.
• Demonstrated success developing talent, leading change, and driving operational results.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience leading large-scale distribution, manufacturing, or fulfillment operations.
• Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, automation, or warehouse management system (WMS) experience.
