Position Overview:

We are seeking a mid-level Operations Associate to support the operational activities of our hedge fund. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in hedge fund operations, with experience in accounting and fund administration. This position provides an opportunity for growth within the company, as the associate will work closely with senior leadership, portfolio managers, and third-party administrators to ensure smooth fund operations. It also provides the candidate a path to lead the operations in management role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily operational activities, including trade support, reconciliations, and fund administration.
\n
• Support fund accounting processes by collaborating with third-party administrators on book and record and financial reporting.
\n
• Help maintain and enhance operational workflows to ensure accuracy and efficiency in day-to-day operations.
\n
• Participate in compliance efforts to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (SEC, CFTC, etc.).
\n
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
\n
• Help manage operational relationships with prime brokers, custodians, and fund administrators.
\n
• Perform data reconciliation across portfolio management systems and external reports.
\n
• Assist with fund liquidity management, capital calls, and investor reporting.
\n
• Collaborate with IT teams and contribute to system updates and operational improvements.

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Need to have green card, US citizens, or H1B
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
\n
• 2-5 years of experience in hedge fund operations, financial services, or fund accounting.
\n
• Need to be able to code in Python for trade tieouts.
\n
• Solid understanding of fund structures, financial products (equities, derivatives, fixed income), and operational processes.
\n
• Basic knowledge of financial regulations governing hedge funds, such as SEC and CFTC requirements.
\n
• Proficiency in accounting principles and financial reporting.
\n
• Experience with portfolio management systems and accounting software (Geneva, Advent, or similar tools).
\n
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
\n
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with third-party fund administrators and auditors.
\n
• Familiarity with trade settlements and post-trade operations.
\n
• Basic knowledge of financial modeling or liquidity management is a plus.
