Join our team as a Clinical Supervisor II at Behavioral Health Services in Yakima, WA. The Clinical Supervisor II provides supervision and instruction to direct reports and oversees the overall operations of assigned programs and services. In addition, this position may serve as a liaison to providers and community partners and maintain limited direct patient care. This position supports the Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) program. WISe is an approach to helping children, youth, and their families with intensive mental health care. WISe helps youths and their families who meet the requirements of a specialized screening and need a higher level of care to deal with complex behavioral health needs. WISe offers services through a team-based approach to youth with severe emotional and behavioral issues. WISe clients often have issues in other systems such as school or legal and have not had success with other mental health services. We've transformed into a leading community health center. With 40+ clinics across Washington State and Oregon, we offer a wide range of services such as medical, dental, pharmacy, orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, and behavioral health. Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of the most current DSM and multi-axial evaluation required. Knowledge of Revised Codes of Washington (RCWs) and Washington Administrative Codes (WACs) as related to the provision of services; Knowledge of Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) as related to the provision of services. Knowledge of culturally relevant resources available including services for monolingual, non-English speaking consumers and Native American consumers. Knowledge of personnel and systems management approaches. Knowledge of therapeutic approaches to chemical abuse. Ability to effectively express ideas verbally and in writing in individual and group settings. Effective presentation skills with groups of all sizes. Ability to convey complex details in a simplified manner. Knowledge of the child placement system. Ability to effectively coordinate with state social workers to meet both the treatment and placement needs of children in the program.

What You'll Do:
- Supervises, coaches, mentors, and trains direct report staff. Provides continuous performance management and conducts employee performance evaluations in consultation with Human Resources. Addresses performance and/or behavior issues, clarifying expectations and providing feedback.
- Supports staff growth and development. Assesses the educational and experience needs of all levels of staff in collaboration with the individual. Encourages staff to seek educational opportunities incorporating job related training in addition to mandatory training.
- Reviews and monitors staff's clinical records and productivity, and reviews counseling skills through chart review, direct observation, video, customer satisfaction surveys, and supervisory sessions.
- Participates in the recruitment and selection of staff. Provides orientation to outline job requirements and expectations, policies and procedures, and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Serves as a liaison to numerous community agencies and organizations, including higher learning institutions, school districts, hospitals, law enforcement, Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) staff, and tribal authorities.
- Collaborates with Clinical or Program Director to coordinate contracts with community agencies and mental health specialist services with outside providers.
- Maintains current knowledge of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), developmental issues, therapeutic modalities, and community resources.
- Maintains limited direct patient care as needed including therapy, supportive therapeutic counseling, and education to assigned individuals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Additional Duties may be assigned depending on programs supervised:
- Assess training needs of BHS and CHS departments that meet academic and licensure requirements for identified students and staff.
- Develop training materials, teaching outlines, and methods for delivery for clinical staff and student interns as needed
- Tracks the status of training programs and workforce resources. Presents and reports status to internal and external committees and audiences as requested.
- Occasional urgent coverage for other clinical supervisors or direct care staff, including consultations or calls with crisis workers or clients
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work. Master's Degree in Mental Health, Counseling, Addiction, or related field may be accepted depending on programs supervised.
- At least 2 years of direct service experience working in a behavioral health field, this includes two years of supervisory experience in any related setting, OR, at least 4 years direct service experience working in a behavioral health field in lieu of supervisory experience.
- Required to meet Washington State requirements for a Mental Health Professional designation.
- One of the following Washington State licenses required upon hire:
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
- Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW).
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days of hire
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate at level 10 on the language proficiency scale to receive bilingual differential pay.
