As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Concierge in Los Angeles, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $20.76 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue10:45 AM - 06:15 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑related protocols, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a public‑facing government location. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security‑related issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, administrative spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support visitor and staff directions, and follow established post orders and location policies. Support daily operations by observing crowd activity, assisting with orderly movement of visitors, and communicating clearly with staff, first responders, and/or management during routine and unusual events. Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. A state, county, and/or city issued security‑related license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
