Position Description Oversees shipping and receiving materials for the Distribution Center and processes shipping and receiving documents. Job Responsibilities Contacts trucking lines, customers, and internal support to schedule pick up and delivery Creates and approves manifest of raw and finished materials and checks releases to ensure orders are complete and ready to ship to meet schedules Enters, views and verifies data using various computer programs and maintains accurate records Loads and unloads trucks Locates, picks, packs and moves materials using material handling equipment, and maintains equipment Expedites parts, and creates and approves manifests of raw and finished materials Performs other duties as assigned Job Skills Requirements Ability to use computers Ability to operate and maintain material handling equipment Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location Education High School diploma General Education Degree Experience Requirements Previous experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred Physical & Environmental Requirements Moderate physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25 to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs), and occasionally lifting heavy weight materials (up to 70 lbs) Generally good working conditions. Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours) Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours) Job rotation may be required, where applicable Briggs & Stratton, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, provides innovative products and diverse power solutions to help people get work done.
