What You'll Do
- Support the Unit Leader in planning and leading daily camp activities
- Build meaningful connections with campers and foster an inclusive, respectful environment
- Teach basic camping skills and inspire a love for the outdoors
- Supervise camper safety, including health, wellness, and daily routines
- Help maintain clean, organized, and safe living spaces
- Assist with swimming supervision and waterfront activities (training provided if needed)
- Encourage teamwork, leadership, and camper participation through Girl Scout programming
- Participate in weekly Thursday overnight experiences
- Must be 18+ years old
- High school student or graduate
- Experience working with children or willingness to learn through pre-camp training
- Positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude
- Passion for working outdoors and mentoring youth
- Bonus points for Girl Scout or camp experience!
- Able to stay active and engaged throughout the day
- Comfortable navigating outdoor terrain
- Able to lift/carry 15+ lbs
- Willing to spend extended time outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Hands-on leadership and teamwork experience
- Lifelong friendships and professional connections
- Skill-building in communication, problem-solving, and youth development
