Sign on Bonus: Up to $10,000 Bonus Based on Eligibility Job Summary Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Prepares surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well asappropriatesterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies. Hands required/requested instruments and supplies tosurgeonduring surgery. Assistswith preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Maintains instruments in an organized manner and monitors/tracksinstruments countsthroughout procedures. Placesequipment and supplies in the operatingor labor & deliveryroomsand arranges instruments according to preference cards.Cleansand checksequipmentarea. Handsinstruments and supplies to surgeon, holds retractors, cuts sutures, and performs other technical tasks as directed by surgeon during operation.Orders, stocks, andmaintainssupplies for theOR andC-section suites. Organizesinpreparation for end of case andassistsincleanup and turnover of rooms.Disposesof all sharps, biohazardous waste items appropriately.Handlesspecimens properly. Reportsobservations of changes inpatient’sconditions and level of consciousness to an RN or LPNin a timely manner. Minimum Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of Surgical Technologists course from an accredited facility. Experience Must be able to work variable shifts,holidaysand/or weekends. Must be able to take call rotation when required. Must be able to perform all duties, including lifting and transferring, using proper body mechanics. Licensure/Certifications: BLS Preferred Requirements Experience Knowledgeof hospital environment desired. Previoushospital and/or health care related experience preferred Licensure/Certifications: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist)
