Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience and a Wisconsin license for a night shift assignment providing respiratory care across multiple units.

Details

• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 18:30 to 7:00
• Rotates through ED, Medical Surgical, ICU, PACU, Ambulatory, and stepdown units
• Provides care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
• Patient ratio of 1:10
• Performs oxygen therapy, ventilator management, breathing treatments, bedside PFTs, bedside bronchoscopies, and ABGs in the ED
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Current RRT and BLS certifications required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Wisconsin or Compact RT license required if applicable
• NBRC and PALS certifications preferred
• Community hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Skilled in airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Experience troubleshooting high pressure alarms
• SSN and DOB required at time of consideration
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within 50 miles of the facility
• Travelers may return to the facility only after a minimum 1-year separation
• Travel pairs accepted
• Facility cannot accommodate travelers with latex allergies
• NIHSS certification may be pending at the time of consideration but must be completed during compliance
• Passport-style badge photo required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance
• Orientation includes facility modules averaging 3-4 hours in length
