Our teams are made up of people who care about continuous improvement, not big egos.Responsibilities:Supports the local operations team with coordinated efforts specific to the locationSupports team by coordinating, participating, and managing documentation. Prepares reports as necessaryAssists with identifying potential bottlenecks in processes and works with management team to resolve issuesCoordinate with carriers and local managers and supervisors to align employees and workflow to meet all customer commitmentsActs as team lead on small or special projects when Supervisor is awayManage multiple communication systems to ensure internal customer requests are accomplishedManage daily order and task production in our warehouse management system. Prioritize customer requests in systemEnsure all'must ship today' orders are processed according to shipping commitments domestically and internationallyProvide daily assistance and backup for picking, packing and shipping functionsMaintain Inventory documentationPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Degree or Equivalent3+ years of order management experience within a warehouse or production environmentDemonstrated experience being able to communicate professionally in written and verbal forms1 year of operational or administrative experience preferred1 year of understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems preferred1 year of customer service and inside sales experience preferred1 year of logistics and warehouse experience preferredKnowledge of warehouse management and order management systems.Ability to change priorities quickly, ability to multi-task, and working at a very fast pace is required for this role.Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills, including in Microsoft OfficeAbility to work in a team environment.Attention to detailPhysical Demands:Position is based inside a warehouseEnvironment can be up to 100 degrees in the summer. Warehouse is climate controlled and comfortable in the winterAbility to lift throughout a shift, potentially up to 50lbsAbility to lift, bend, reach, push, pull, squat and walk throughout a shiftAbility to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, generally an entire shift (8+ hours per day)Ability to climb laddersUses heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.)This position will be seated for portions of the day, so the incumbent should be comfortable working at a deskWho is this company with all these great things to offer?We are Wesco. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
