Diesel Mechanic

Amrize, one of the largest construction materials producers in the world, is recruiting full-time Diesel Mechanic in Mansfield, TX. This position will maintain and repair heavy construction, automotive, mechanical, and machinery.

Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following; diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures, providing repair and maintenance to diesel and gasoline engines, adjusting and repairing ignition, fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and steering systems, maintaining and repairing chassis, frames, and bodies, working with hoisting and jacking equipment, power tools, measuring instruments, gauges, and meters, lubricating equipment, maintaining and repairing tires, batteries, brakes, and valves, performing shop management functions such as maintenance scheduling and spare parts inventory control, making estimates of material, labor, and equipment requirements, maintaining a safe and clean work area, assisting other mechanics as needed, having basic computer proficiency and good verbal and written communication skills, meeting strict deadlines, and documenting issues and procedures. Must be able to work unsupervised and demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have a valid driver's license, Class A or B commercial driver's license preferred. 3 years experience directly related to the duties or mechanics school graduate (heavy equipment diesel engines and transmissions). Requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions. They may be required to work long and unpredictable hours. Must be able to stand for long periods on varied surfaces. Must be able to move freely, including the ability to stoop, crawl, and bend at the knees and waist. Must be able to lift 100 pounds unassisted. Additional requirements include adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
