Industrial Painter

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter who is skilled in mixing paint, using mil gauges, and conducting viscosity testing. The ideal candidate will have experience with applying epoxy, zinc-rich, polyurethane high solid, ultra-high solid, and 100% solid coatings using both airless and conventional spray techniques.

Responsibilities

• Mix and prepare paint materials accurately.
• Perform viscosity testing and use mil gauges to ensure quality control.
• Apply coatings such as epoxy, zinc-rich, and polyurethane using airless and conventional spray methods.
• Ensure all surfaces are prepared correctly before painting.
• Work safely in enclosed spaces and follow all safety protocols.
• Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean.

Essential Skills

• 6+ months of paint experience.
• Proficiency in using spray guns for industrial painting.
• Attention to detail and ability to work safely in confined spaces.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in automotive paint is beneficial.
• Willingness to work in an older, dirtier environment.
• Comfortable with heights and confined spaces.

Work Environment

The work environment is in an older building that can be a bit dirtier. The job is fairly physical, requiring work in confined spaces and at heights. It can become very hot inside the tanks during summer, so readiness for these conditions is necessary.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
