Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Previous Cath Lab experience required License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS and ACLS preferred Must-Have: Ability to take call Description: We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Cath Lab position. The unit consists of 2 cath lab rooms, 10 pre and post beds, and 6 holding beds. The team includes approximately 20 staff members. Day shift RNs and cardiovascular technologists will be scheduled for 10-hour shifts, with call requirements. Patient ratios in the lab are 1:1, in holding 2:1, and in pre/post 4:1. Typical equipment used includes GE imaging equipment, Volcano, Rotoblator, Angiojet, IABP, Impella, Penumbra, and Inari. The electronic medical record system is Cerner and Merge for hemodynamic monitoring. The unit performs a variety of procedures, including heart catheterizations, peripheral interventions, TAVR, Mitra Clip, Watchman, pacemaker and ICD implants, EP studies and ablations, PFO and ASD closures, and carotid stenting. We are looking for candidates with a flexible and easygoing personality. The Cath Lab is dynamic and busy, providing all structural heart procedures and a comprehensive cardiac program. There will be opportunities to work with residents and cardiac fellows. Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
