Summary of the Role We are searching for a skilled and dedicated hygienist to provide a comprehensive range of preventive services. In this role, you will be a vital part of our patient-centered setting, focusing on continuity of care and fostering trust with the families we serve. You will work closely with our dedicated staff and the owner-dentist to promote a warm, supportive environment that makes a meaningful difference in our patients' lives. Duties & Responsibilities Relationship-Based Care:Build and maintain long-term relationships with patients, ensuring they feel known and valued at every visit. Preventive Care:Perform high-quality prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance for a diverse patient base in a single-column hygiene model focused on clinical excellence and patient experience. Periodontal Therapy:Conduct comprehensive periodontal care thorough scaling and root planing (SRP) and monitor periodontal health. Diagnostic Assistance:Evaluate medical histories, capture high-quality digital X-rays, and perform thorough periodontal screenings. Clinical Documentation:Capture clear intraoral images to document clinical findings and assist in patient co-discovery of treatment needs. Digital Workflow:Maintain accurate, timely clinical notes and treatment plans within our fully paperless practice management system. Patient Education:Partner with patients to improve their health through tailored brushing and flossing techniques and nutritional counseling. Team Collaboration:Work seamlessly with the dentist and staff to ensure a cohesive, family-oriented experience for everyone in the office. Requirements Valid Virginia State Dental Hygiene License and CPR certification. Professionalism:A pleasant and compassionate personality with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at home. Local Anesthesia certification and experience with sealants (preferred).
