Radiological Control Inspector [RC100]The Radiological Control Inspector provides technical and practical support in the field of radiation protection. The role involves performing radiation surveys, contamination assessments, decontamination, handling radioactive materials, and supporting various radiological tasks in a work environment that adheres to strict safety standards.The purpose of the position is to provide technical and practical support in the area of Radiation Protection. Functions including but not limited to:Perform a contamination surveyPerform a radiation surveyDocument RWP surveysProvide routine/non-routine radiological job coverageDecontamination of equipment and suppliesRadioactive waste handlingTrack radioactive materials transferConduct air, water and soil samples for radioactive contaminationPerform sample analysisRadiological monitoring equipment support.All candidates shall possess a two year certificate from an accredited technical school in a job related technical topic and 18 months of applied health physics technician experience; or a high school diploma (or equivalent) and three (3) years of applied health physics technician experience (DOE O 5480.20a).The 40-hour workweek schedule will be determined by the assigned facility to accommodate the current demand of work evolutions and shift rotations. Candidate may be assigned to various shift schedules.Candidate must be capable of obtaining a DOE "L" or "Q" Clearance as specified by the assigned facility. ProSidian Consulting
