The role involves working within a dynamic Trauma & General Surgery Inpatient environment that provides both step-down and floor care, offering an engaging opportunity for professional development.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Stepdown

• Manage a 1:6 patient ratio for Floor patients and 1:3 for Stepdown patients
• Provide complex wound care and manage various drains and devices
• Support patients with traumatic injuries, including chest tubes and respiratory support
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance patient care
• Utilize EPIC for efficient and accurate charting

Requirements of the RN - Stepdown

• Active RN License
• BLS Certification
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma and with EPIC system
• Experience with a variety of medical and surgical conditions
• Proficiency in managing complex wound care and traumatic injuries
