Position: Controller/Finance Director

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Controller/Finance Director to oversee all financial operations of the company. This Controller/Finance Director will be responsible for managing the company's financial planning, reporting, and internal controls to ensure long-term stability and profitability in a growing business.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company growth.
• Manage and produce timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Manage inter-company billings and credit card charges.
• Track project costs and profitability, work closely with project managers on job costing.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and policies
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, and industry-specific regulations
• Advise leadership on financial planning and risk management
• Partner with external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA certification or MBA a plus)
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in construction or a related industry
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting,
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience in managing a small accounting/finance team

Desired Skills:

• Bilingual is a plus.
