Senior Staff Accountant

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support financial operations, including billing, payment application, account reconciliation, and customer communication. This role will lead the monthly close activities, inventory transactions, and preparation of internal financial reports. Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules Execute the monthly financial close processes Work closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, providing hands-on support to ensure timely and accurate billing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations Assist with resolution of AR and AP issues and step in as needed to support daily operations in a small-team environment Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, reconciliations, etc.) CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred Experience with Sage X3 a plus Skills & Competencies High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes Clear and professional communication skills Problem-solving mindset with a continuous improvement approach Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
