Kennel Tech

We are a dog-boarding facility with two locations in Midland, Texas. We are looking to hire a full time Kennel Technician for both of our locations.

Qualifications:

Must have experience handling dogs and cats in a professional setting

Must have experience administering medications, shots and wound treatment

Must have open availability

Must be able to work holidays and weekends

Must have reliable transportation

Must be able to follow instructions exactly

Static Strength: the ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds.

Judgment and Decision Making: the ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

Oral and Written Expression: the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.

Job Description:

Every morning when we arrive and evening before we leave you are to check the status of every pet. Any health changes are to be reported to the manager and noted in a health log. Pets will then be fed according to their feeding instructions. Medications are administered as directed and then reported to the manager. The facility is then cleaned. Periodically throughout the day, pets will be dropped off or picked up. You may retrieve or drop off a pet from their assigned room. Tasks may change from day to day if a pet has specific health needs or as situations change.
