Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic, district-wide contract position starting August 27, 2026. In this vital role, you’ll be providing essential support as part of a collaborative educational team, covering a 12-week FMLA leave with the possibility of extension.

Key Qualifications:

• Current COTA license/certification from CT DPH and successful completion of the NBCOT exam
• Previous experience working in school-based settings is highly valued
• Confident in supporting students with a broad range of ages and diverse needs
• Reliable transportation to travel between district school sites as needed
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Enthusiastic, adaptable, and proactive in contributing to multi-disciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services under supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Carry out established treatment plans designed to support student learning and development
• Accurately document student progress and interventions
• Engage with students and staff across schools throughout the district, lending flexibility and strong organizational skills to your daily work
• Promote student participation and independence within the school environment
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to foster student success

This full-time role offers a regular school-day schedule of approximately 7–7.5 hours daily, with your final schedule confirmed by the district.
