CA Pharmacy Manager

Position Summary As a Pharmacy Manager, you will lead and direct Pharmacy Staff, comprising staff Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. You are accountable for the management, oversight and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy, ensuring patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention and workflow management. You will also adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers healthy and support the pharmacy’s performance. Responsibilities Maintain patient safety and pharmacy professional practice. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards. Provide excellent customer service and manage a customer‑centric pharmacy environment. Oversee personnel and inventory management, including loss prevention. Manage financial profitability and workflow efficiency. Lead patient care programs and adopt best practices to improve outcomes. Motivate, inspire and develop Pharmacy Support Staff. Identify business opportunities and implement solutions to drive growth. Adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic community healthcare setting. Seek new ways to collaborate and deliver better outcomes. Align the team around purpose, fostering a culture of care, energy and pride. Apply knowledge to differentiate CVS from competitors. Qualifications Required Qualifications Active Pharmacy License in the state of employment. Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List. Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA). Listed on the pharmacy state license as the pharmacist in charge. Submission of required information/documents to the state PMP administrator for PMP access (where applicable). Preferred Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
