Pearl at Kalauao, located in Aiea, HI , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Assistant Golf Professional ! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Compensation $15.00-$18.00 per hour. General Purpose Assists in administering all daily operations, including but not limited to: facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating the POS system, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, and working ranger, starter, guest relations, outside service, or golf shop shifts. Key Responsibilities Provides a memorable guest experience Assists in managing the facility and staff Processes customer reservations for guests of the golf course Assists in coordinating individual, group, and tournament play as directed by the Golf Operations Manager and/or Head Golf Professional Assumes the Golf Operations Manager's duties in his or her absence Produces daily reports on rounds, sales, and other relevant data for management Oversees the Outside Guest Services department and personnel Works closely with the OGS to monitor all aspects of play, including guest satisfaction, starting, pace of play, safety on the course, and golf course markings Provides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite the check-in process Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements One to two years of golf industry experience preferred PGA Member or Apprentice Must have strong customer/guest orientation skills Must have strong communication skills Must have highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quickly Must have basic computer skills Must be dependable Physical Demands Regularly stands, walks, and sits; occasionally climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches Frequently uses hands and reaches with hands and arms Frequently talks or hears, tastes or smells; occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather) Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions Noise level is moderate Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates are required to communicate with English‑speaking customers or co‑workers; equipment manuals may be in English).
