Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Location

Fargo, ND

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Days: 0700–1930 / Nights: 1900–0730) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | No call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for general Medical/Surgical patients in a fast-paced, 15-bed unit (all private rooms)
• Perform initial admissions for patients transitioning out of the Emergency Department pending unit assignment
• Deliver continuous patient care until transfer to the assigned unit is completed
• Utilize Epic EMR, Omnicell medication dispensing, Aleris IV pumps, and Zebra phones for communication
• Float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Active RN licensure
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Familiarity with Aleris IV pump operation
• Experience working in a transitional or admission/holding unit setting
