Plumbing Apprentice And Parts Runner

As a Plumbing Apprentice and Parts Runner, you will assist experienced plumbers with various tasks while also serving as a vital resource for procuring and delivering parts and materials to job sites. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, have a strong work ethic, and are willing to take on new challenges. No prior experience is required, but a willingness to learn and grow in the plumbing trade is essential.

The key responsibilities include:

• Assist experienced plumbers by shadowing them to learn about plumbing techniques, tools, and procedures.
• Help with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
• Learn to use plumbing equipment and tools safely and effectively under supervision.
• Receive parts and materials shipments and organize inventory in the warehouse.
• Prepare and pack materials for delivery to job sites according to work orders and project requirements.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles and transport materials to and from job sites in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and delivery vehicles.
• Assist plumbers with setting up and cleaning up job sites, including moving equipment and materials as needed.
• Provide support to plumbers during installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to expand knowledge of plumbing principles and practices.
• Seek guidance and feedback from experienced plumbers to enhance skills and performance.
• Take initiative to learn and improve, demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; willingness to learn and develop skills in the plumbing trade.
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if responsible for parts delivery).
