MS/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Description

The MS/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Schedule

This position requires working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 3 days per week. The RN must be willing to work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Arizona Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Monitor patient condition and ensure safety through effective planning and delegation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (Cerner).
• Supervise and direct the activities of assigned personnel in delivering patient care.
• Float between departments and four designated facilities as needed.
