About the Role

We are looking for an individual who can provide dining support in our on-site, breakfast outlet and modern Italian cuisine specialty restaurant, Ravello.

What You Will Do

• Maintaining the reception area and entrance in all aspects of stocking and cleanliness
• Greeting guests in a positive, friendly manner and making them feel welcome
• Maintaining the safety and security of the restaurant/bar premises
• Identifying guests' preferences and their personal information: regularity and time of dining, food and drink choice, seat preference, food allergies, special occasion, hotel guests, table position, telephone number, e-mail address, web address, etc.
• Informing our guests about any upcoming events at Ravello or the resort
• Ensuring that guests are informed regularly about their table status if there is a delay
• Communicating with Ravello managers and other hosts/hostesses continuously and updating them on the dynamics of the reservations, delays and cancellations in order to avoid unnecessary table chasing or rigid return time policy
• Recognizing guests, remembering the names of the regulars and being in constant communication with managers and reception about the satisfaction of our guests
• Accommodating if guests have any special requests or allergies, etc.
• Greeting the guests and learning if they have a reservation, are walk-ins or bar guests, collecting guest information to enter into the Micros system
• Relating all information given to you by the guest to the Manager on Duty

What You Bring

• Prior experience working in Food & Beverage
• One year of experience in an upscale, fine dining establishment preferred
• One year of OpenTable experience preferred
• Must portray an outgoing personality that is warm and friendly while demonstrating enthusiasm and professionalism
• A sincere willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently
• Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
• High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team
• Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States

Schedules and Hours:

• Must be available Thursday and Saturday morning, additional Tuesday availability a plus.
• A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays.
