A day on our 2nd Shift

You begin by reviewing work orders and blueprints, parsing GD&T, materials, specs, and reference planes. You plan setups, confirm machining parameters, and step up to advanced CNC mills and lathes—confident editing programs at the control to achieve non-routine, complex features.

• Tackle parts with unusual or compound angles and closely related dimensions.
• Cut multiple-lead and other non-standard screw threads; produce helical and other gear forms and worm threads.
• Complete multi-setup operations, in-place machining of fixtures, and first-run debug, proposing program improvements as you go.
• Execute shop-floor programming and verify results against print and process expectations.

What you’ll bring

• 7–10 years of machining experience in a production manufacturing environment.
• Advanced understanding of CNC concepts, practices, procedures, and multi-axis operations.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.
• Ability to read and interpret machining and fabrication drawings with strong GD&T comprehension.
• Solid math, geometry, and trigonometry skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, clear communication, and team-first mindset.
