Business Unit: Naval Power Systems Location: Fitchburg, MA Career Functional Area: Facilities Telework Type: Onsite Relocation Available: No Schedule: 9/80 Shift: 1st ShiftJob Summary: Set up, maintain and/or repair equipment and/or systems within the facility within area of expertise.Job Responsibilities:Set up, maintain and/or repair equipment and/or systems within the facility within area of expertiseFollow maintenance schedule to ensure regular and preventive maintenance work assignments are completed when requiredPerform service calls, repairs, and equipment installations as directedPerform troubleshooting, diagnostic evaluations, and routine inspections on physical plant systems and equipment as requiredMaintain an inventory of parts and tools, and keep assigned storage areas clean and organizedFollow company and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines in daily work routines and assignmentsPerform all work in accordance with established safety proceduresComplete appropriate paperwork in a proper manner for the purchase, stocking, and/or use of all materials, parts, and components required for work order completionEnsure work orders contain appropriate and accurate information before submitting completed work ordersMay lead less experience employeesRecommends cost savings strategies and techniques that will not compromise quality and individual safetySupport and communicate the mission, values and culture of the organizationPerform other related tasks or special duties as assignedQualifications: High school or trade school diploma; prefer license in specific specialty with 4+ years of experience Solid working knowledge of building codes, OSHA requirements, and knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures Good oral and written communication skills U.S. Citizenship required.The salary range for this position is $54,586- $78,058/year. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
