Senior People Operations Partner

The OpportunityOtter.ai is looking for a Senior People Operations Partner to join our People team and help deliver an exceptional employee experience as we continue to grow and scale.Reporting to the VP, People, this is a highly collaborative, hands-on role with broad exposure across the People function. You’ll own critical day-to-day HR operations while also helping build and improve the programs, processes, and systems that support our employees and the business.This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to work from our office Tuesday through Thursday each week. Your work will span people operations, employee experience, HR systems, benefits and payroll, compliance, talent acquisition, learning and development, and more.Your ImpactDeliver a high-touch, customer-first experience to employees, managers, and cross-functional partnersSupport the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of People programs, policies, and processesOwn and execute a range of day-to-day People Operations activities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and an excellent employee experiencePartner with our PEO and internal stakeholders to support payroll, benefits, compensation administration, and other employee programsManage employee leaves of absence, including coordination with employees, managers, our PEO, and applicable leave programsSupport recruiting, pre-boarding, and new-hire readiness in partnership with Talent Acquisition and hiring managersManage the background screening process and related pre-employment requirementsLead employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a thoughtful and seamless experienceCoordinate employment-based immigration matters, partnering with employees, managers, and external immigration counsel to support visa sponsorship, transfers, extensions, and other immigration processes.Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR systemsSupport compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements and help translate regulatory requirements into practical People processesIdentify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve how we operate as the company scalesContribute to broader People initiatives across employee experience, engagement, learning and development, and organizational effectivenessWe’re Looking for Someone WhoBrings 5+ years of progressive HR experience across Human Resources, People Operations, and/or HR Business Partnership, ideally within a high-growth environmentHas strong working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance, with experience navigating requirements across multiple statesHas exceptional attention to detail and a track record of executing accurately in areas where the details matterThrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable balancing multiple priorities while adapting as business needs evolveOperates with a strong sense of ownership, sound judgment, and a bias for actionBuilds trusted relationships and collaborates effectively with employees, managers, executives, and cross-functional partnersHas experience building, improving, and scaling People processes and programs rather than simply administering established onesThinks critically about the employee experience and looks for ways to make People programs more effective, intuitive, and scalableIs comfortable rolling up their sleeves and moving fluidly between strategic projects and hands-on executionBrings curiosity, resourcefulness, and a continuous-improvement mindset to their workAbout Otter.ai We are in the business of shaping the future of work.
