The position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role. The nurse will work day shifts on a 4x12-hour schedule. Patient-to-nurse ratios will be between 1:3 and 1:5. Nurses will float within their service line to meet facility needs. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The ideal candidate will have experience with acute care medicine. Patient diagnoses include acute renal failure, pneumonia, acute pancreatitis, UTI, and COPD. Special skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube management, and insulin protocols. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for first-time travelers. All required certifications must be up to date, including BCLS and ACLS. Candidates must pass an EKG examination before starting.
