About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Pediatrics RN in Dayton, Ohio, 45401!

• Provide professional nursing care in a pediatric emergency room setting in accordance with American Nurses Association standards of care and professional performance guidelines
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal health outcomes for pediatric patients and their families
• Conduct detailed assessments of patient and family needs to deliver proficient, individualized nursing care
• Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment while adapting to rapidly changing census and unit needs
• Float across multiple ED sites, a Mental Health Crisis Center, and inpatient specialty pediatric units (Med/Surg, PICU, NICU, Transitional Care) as needed based on staffing requirements
• Manage care for 1-4 patients per assignment based on patient acuity and unit guidelines

• BSN required
• Active and unrestricted RN license in Ohio or a Compact license - must be in hand at time of submission
• CPR certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric emergency department experience
• At least one recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty is required
• Local candidates are welcome to apply

• Experience working in a mental health crisis center or behavioral health environment
• Familiarity with cooperative staffing models and floating across multiple specialty units
• Experience caring for PICU or NICU patient populations
