Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with 5+ years of vascular sonography experience and active RVT/ARDMS certification.

Details

• Vascular ultrasound unit with 3 private RVT rooms and average daily census of 23 with 9 visits per day
• Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics
• Staffing ratios of 1:3 on weekdays and 1:1 on weekends
• Block scheduling with Medstreaming unit systems
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 1430-2300
• On-call required one week per month, weekday nights 2300-0700 and 24-hour weekend coverage
• Work settings include adult, ER, ICU, and portable exams
• Performs OR carotid endarterectomy procedures in a fluid environment requiring adaptability
• Equipment includes Philips Epiq Elite x4 and Viasonix Falcon Pro x2
• Green scrubs required, not provided

Requirements

• ARDMS and RVT certification required; CCI RVS preferred
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 5 years of vascular ultrasound experience required, 10+ years preferred
• Minimum 5 years of travel experience required, prefer 10+ years; no first-time travelers
• Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience required; EPIC experience preferred
• Experience with aorta, arterial graft studies, arterial mapping, carotid, color flow, Doppler studies, duplex, LE/UE arterial and venous studies, and renal artery duplex required
• Peripheral vascular resistance experience preferred
• Experience with Philips equipment preferred
• Management/lead experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies across adult, ER, ICU, and portable settings
• Assist with OR carotid endarterectomy procedures
• Must adhere to isolation precautions and proper PPE use
• Travelers are expected to float within the hospital as needed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
• Previous staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year and in good standing to be eligible for return
