This full-time role begins September 1st and is ideal for a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Special Education Aide, or Paraprofessional passionate about making a difference in the educational environment.

You will provide essential 1:1 support for a student with physical care needs. The student uses a motorized wheelchair and requires assistance with toileting and other daily activities, making your care and attention vital for their educational experience and well-being.

Skills & Qualifications:

• CNA certification or experience as a Special Education Aide/Paraprofessional
• Previous experience assisting individuals with physical or mobility needs
• Willingness to obtain DPI certification upon offer (support provided)
• Comfort providing personal care, including toileting
• Ability to foster trust and rapport with students, staff, and families
• Dedication, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 support throughout the school day to ensure the student’s needs are met
• Assist with all aspects of mobility, including safe operation and supervision of motorized wheelchair
• Provide personal care assistance as needed (toileting, hygiene, transferring)
• Support the student's participation in classroom and school activities
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, school nurses, and other staff to develop and implement care strategies
