The position of the Quality Engineer requires a results driven individual who will be responsible for executing quality initiatives for our manufactured products and drives quality system improvements to achieve department objectives. With a sense of urgency, handles all internal and external quality issues related to the quality of manufactured product. Works closely with the Support team and provides leadership pertaining to product quality.This is how your journey beginsYou will lead cross-functional teams to investigate internal non-conformances to identify root cause, obtain containment and implement corrective actions.You will support daily production goals by supporting trouble-shooting efforts related to non-conforming material.You will develop and implement systems that will ensure product conformance to specificationsYou will work within the organization to execute changes and improvements to the quality processYou will review and approve specifications for manufactured productsYou will support Root Cause Analysis efforts related to customer complaints.You will be the key Quality Representative on corrective and preventive actions that result from customer complaint, CAPA and/or non-conforming material report investigations.You will support the on-going evaluation of inspection techniques, methods and frequencies. From the evaluations, you will make any changes within the Inspection Plan that may be required.You will support the qualification of new mold, assemblies and equipment by conducting capabilities studies and validations.You will provide AQP support for new products and processes, including planning, development, validation and verification activitiesYou will use statistics, metrology, and a problem solving skills to troubleshoot internal and external manufacturing problemsYou will demonstrate proficiency in root cause analysis and permanent corrective action implementationYou will facilitate cross-functional teams in order to address and resolve isolated or recurring internal and external quality issuesYou will have excellent communication skills. Possess the ability to persuasively present information both orally and in writing and an ability to make presentations to executive team members as well as to key contacts at major customersYou will communicate directly with customers regarding technical support, manufacturing issues, and quality non-conformancesYou will help develop, track, and drive continuous improvement activities in order to meet or exceed the facility quality goals and objectives (KPI’s)You will have active involvement and leadership in the Quality Improvement ProcessYou will participate and lead in internal, customer, and Aptar certification auditsYou will support and adhere to all system procedures and company policies/proceduresYou will maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety regulationsYou will perform other related duties assignedWhat you will bring on the journeyEducationBachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering or a related technical discipline is required.
