Broad scope of practice: Small community with wide variety of studies. This results in greater involvement in direct patient care and hospital leadership. Fluoroscopy procedures including GI fluoroscopy, lumbar punctures, myelograms, nephrostomy tube placement/replacement, chest tube placements, and joint injections (major and minor) arthrograms. Ultrasound guided procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, fine needle aspirations, and biopsies, including lymph nodes and thyroid. CT guided procedures including bone marrow, lung, liver, bone, and renal biopsies. Organ and abscess drainage procedures.
