Emergency Medicine Physician

Locums - Sanford, Florida, Emergency Medicine Opening

Clinical Role:

• Start Date: 5/26/2026

• Duration: 3 months

• Practice setting: Emergency Department

• Level II Trauma Center

• Projected volume: approximately 12,385 visits in the first year

• 11 private patient care beds

• Dedicated trauma room

• Ambulance bay for EMS access

• Diagnostic imaging available onsite including CT scan, ultrasound, and X-ray

Patient Care:

• Patients requiring inpatient admission are transported to the main campus

• Seamless handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialty teams

• Emergency physicians provide care for a range of acute presentations in a community ED setting

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) OR

• Board Certified Family Medicine with extensive Emergency Medicine experience

• Emergency Medicine residency trained - Required

• Minimum of 6,000 hours of Emergency Department experience within the past 3 years

• ATLS - Required

• ACLS - Required

• PALS - Required
