Company Description Bill Doran Wholesale Florist has served the floral industry since 1974, providing flowers and supplies backed by professional service and deep product knowledge. The company sources fresh cut flowers and potted plants from around the world, including Colombia, Ecuador, and Holland. Role Description The Floral Merchandiser is a part-time, on-site role based in the Capital District area including Rensselaer, Albany and Schenectady counties. This role involves receiving, unpacking, and inspecting floral shipments; processing and conditioning fresh cut flowers and plants to ensure quality and longevity. The Floral Technician creates custom displays in our customer's locations, and maintains all product for peak freshness and appearance. Full job description provided during interview process. Qualifications Experience with floral handling and processing, including conditioning fresh cut flowers and caring for potted plants. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting boxes, moving inventory, and working on feet for extended periods. Reliable time management, dependability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Effective communication skills and a customer-focused attitude when interacting with internal teams and external clients. Prior experience in wholesale floral, retail floral, visual merchandising or related horticulture fields is preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
