Production Supervisor

Our client is seeking a Production Supervisor to join their team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be part of the Manufacturing Operations team supporting the production area. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, the ability to drive continuous improvement, and the drive to coach teams to deliver quality and throughput targets which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Kokomo, IN

Shift: 8 hours shifts; 2nd/3rd Shift Flexible

What's the Job?

• Coordinate daily production activities to achieve business metrics, including meeting the production plan and sustaining area performance.
• Lead and enforce a safe workplace by guiding the team to improve Safety in the area and ensuring mandated safety tools and procedures are followed.
• Use the C-Matrix to understand losses during the shift and coordinate industrial system activities to improve area performance.
• Analyze quality KPIs for the area, prioritize quality issues, and properly guide Team Leaders to drive corrective actions.
• Allocate manpower effectively, manage absenteeism, train team members, and mobilize support groups and resources to solve problems.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
• Excellent organization with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with various levels of employees within the plant, from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership.
• Goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead teams; must be able to coach/mentor/develop team members.
